37 New Charlotte Learners | Tiny Tots Take Off π
In 2014, Charlotte ranked dead last in economic mobility among 50 major U.S. cities. Children born into poverty here had the lowest chance in the nation of escaping it.
Ten years later, much needed change had been made and Charlotte climbed to 38th. A big win, but the city still has a way to go for its youngest residents β particularly when it comes to ensuring every child has access to a quality early education.
Through Project 71: Tiny Tots Take Off, Mite's Giving Community partnered with Freedom Communities to furnish three classrooms in the Freedom Drive Corridor, opening 37 new slots for infants and toddlers in one of Charlotte's most underserved neighborhoods.
For this project, I served as the producer, editor, colorist, audio mixer, videographer, sound designer, cinematographer, and motion graphic designer.
